PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately inhibit stress concentration in a shock absorbing structure when a shock is applied. SOLUTION: The shock absorbing structure comprises a groove part 50 provided closely to both sides of a bolt hole 14, namely both sides along a circumference direction of a flange 61, and a thin wall part 70 formed between the groove part 50 and a bolt hole 14. When an object receives load, resistance generated inside of the object according to the load, namely stress, concentrates on a section where shape changes intensely. The structure is constructed to positively reduce degree of stress concentrating on the section by forming the section where stress tends to concentrate such as a bottom part of the groove part 50 and an opening part of the groove part 50 in an arc shape. Consequently, destruction of the thin wall part 70 from crack due to stress concentration before deformation of the thin wall part 70, namely before a shock is absorbed by the thin wall part 70 (energy is absorbed) can be inhibited.
