A printing control apparatus and a printing method are provided to print data at the center of print paper, thereby adjusting a margin of print paper on which data is printed even when an application program having no margin control function is used. A printing control apparatus(100) includes a calculator(110), a data processor(120) and a transmitter(130). The calculator calculates the size of a margin at one side of print paper on which data is printed according to the size of a margin at the other side of the print paper when a data printing instruction is inputted. The data processor converts the data into printing data for printing the data in a region other than the margin having the calculated size. The transmitter transmits the converted printing data to a printer.
