PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseptic disinfectant improving antibacterial power originally possessed by 1,2-alkanediol, and a cosmetic, medicine or food compounded with the antiseptic disinfectant. SOLUTION: The antiseptic disinfectant contains a 5-10C 1,2-alkanediol, preferably 1,2-hexanediol and/or 1,2-octanediol and chitosan oligosaccharide.
