A document according to the invention is made as a laminate of several layers. Of those, at least one external layer (1) is made of polycarbonate. On the internal side of the external polycarbonate layer (I) and/or on several internal layers (6) the document has multi-colour personalisation (2) made with digital print. In at least one direction all the layers between personalisation (2) and the external side of the document are transparent. In good execution, the personal security document as per the invention has a layer (3) of thermoplastic polyurethane or another thermosetting plastic adjacent to the multi-colour personalisation (2). In another good execution, the document as per the invention has a plastic layer (3) coated with thermoplastic polyurethane or with another thermosetting plastic adjacent to the multi-colour personalisation (2). The multi-colour personalisation (2) may also be printed on a primer coated (5) external side of the external layer (1) of polycarbonate and/or on one or several external layers (6) coated with a primer.
