摘要 A piston stoppage position control method for a hybrid electric vehicle is provided to place a piston stoppage position at the position where minimum torque amount is consumed when an engine is re-started. A piston stoppage position control method for a hybrid electric vehicle includes the steps of: (S15)detecting the information regarding the status of an engine in the state that the engine is started; (S20)deciding whether the engine satisfies the condition of an idling state based on the detected information; (S25)detecting the estimate of a piston stoppage position of the engine; (S30)starting the control of a motor; (S35)deciding whether the piston stoppage position is the optimal value of the piston stoppage position; and (S40)moving the position of the piston when the piston stoppage position is not the optimal value.
