A terminal and a method for providing posture correction information using operation recognition are provided to measure a user's operation and to display posture correction information in consideration of the measured value. A terminal for providing posture correction information using operation recognition includes a sensor part(140), a calculation part, and a display part(110). The sensor part measures a user's trace and stores the measured trace value. The calculation part compares the measured trace value with preset trace information, estimates an error value, and selects correction information according to the range of the estimated error value. The display part displays the selected correction information.
