PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine utilizing condensed water generated in a drying step as washing water. SOLUTION: In the washing and drying machine having a cylindrical outer tank provided in an outer frame casing body, a cylindrical washing and drying tub rotatably provided in the outer tank and receiving the laundry, and a heat pump unit having a compressor, a radiator, and a heat absorber, a condensed water storing tank for storing the condensed water generated by the condensation by the heat absorber is provided at the lower portion of the heat pump unit.
