A stent for insertion in the duodenum has a core zone (A) and two flexible end zones (B, B', C). The core zone has a waisted section (11) that is narrower than the distal end-zones. The waisted section consists essentially of two conical sections apex to apex. The end sections (B, B, C') are more flexible than the core zone (A) and fix the stent in position. |
