<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of easily controlling white balance to be close to user's intention. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises an imaging means which images a subject to generate image data; a process means which acquires control amount of white balance based on the image data, and corrects the white balance of the generated image data based on the acquired white balance control amount; a display means which displays the image data that has been processed; and an input means for accepting designation of an arbitrary region in the image data displayed on the display means.
