PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soller slit which enables consecutive change in the width of a slit and which is compact. SOLUTION: A soller slit, which has barrier plates located in parallel with each other, is equipped with elastomers inserted into spaces between the respective barrier plates and a compression mechanism for pressing the barrier plates on both ends of the soller slit. The simultaneous compression or expansion of an elastic member in a lamination direction through the actuation of the compression mechanism makes it possible to change the intervals between the barrier plates, or the width of the slit, while maintaining a state where they are parallel to each other. As the elastic member, various kinds of springs or rubber can be used. Thus, since the constitution of the soller slit is very simple, the need for installation space in an analyzer which has been essential in the past is eliminated and makes it possible to reduce the size of the analyzer.
