PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet a demand for shortening interruption time of an operation of a pump due to overheat of an engine while appropriately protecting the engine under a harsh condition at a site of a fire. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an engine stop frequency storing means 27 storing the number of times of incidents that an engine protection control means 26 stops the engine at a time of overheat, an overheat engine operation inhibition means 28 inhibiting operation of the engine when overheat of the engine is detected under a condition where the stored frequency of engine stops reaches an established value, and a stored content resetting means 29 clearing stored contents of the frequency of engine stops by the engine stop frequency storage means 27 to permit operation of the engine when it is detected by a temperature sensor that temperature of the engine drops to lower temperature than overheat judgment temperature.
