摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development, whose productivity is improved with less coupling in the heat treatment of toner base particles when they are made spherical, and which suppresses melt sticking on a blade and contamination on a charging roller in a developing machine, and to provide a method for manufacturing the toner. SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic charge image development is obtained by melting and kneading at least a binder resin and a colorant, pulverizing the resultant mixture into a powder, and heat treating it in a floating state to make tonar particles spherical, wherein to 100 parts by weight of toner base particles obtained by classifying the powder and eliminating coarse particles and fine particles, 0.5 to 6 parts by weight of silica having an average primary particle size of 35 to 300 nm and 0.1 to 3 parts by weight of silica having an average primary particle size of 4 to 30 nm are added, and the mixture is consecutively heat treated to be made spherical so as to embed and fix the silica particles having the average primary particle size of 35 to 300 nm in the surface of the toner particles. The method for manufacturing the toner for electrostatic charge image development comprises adding two kinds of silica particles having different average primary particle sizes to the toner base particles and heat-treating the particles to make them spherical.
