PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation type electronic component mainly used for control of an electronic device of a vehicle and the like which enables easy fixing operation of a lead wire in a simple structure and is capable of holding and fixing the lead wire securely. SOLUTION: In a structure for fixing the lead wire 4 to a holding body 17 by winding and fastening the lead wire 4 and a fixing part 17A of the holding body 17 provided at a back case 13, a holding part 17C in an approximately recessed shape is formed on an upper face of the fixing part 17A of the holding body 17 and a fastening part 8A of a binding band 8 is mounted on the holding part 17C. As the fastening part 8A is mounted on the holding part 17C and held not to rotate in a winding direction, it is possible to provide the operation type electronic component with which the fixing operation of the lead wire 4 to the holding body 17 can be easily performed in the simple structure and the lead wire 4 can be held and fixed securely as positions of tip end parts of a fastening part 8A and a band part 8B are unlikely to move after being fixed.
