<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of preventing the deterioration in exhaust gas and an increase in vibration/noise, when the exhaust temperature is the high temperature, just after switching combustion, when switching combustion to compression ignition type combustion from spark ignition type combustion, in the internal combustion engine for performing the compression ignition type combustion. <P>SOLUTION: This control device has a combustion switching means for reducing the exhaust temperature in the spark ignition type combustion just before switching the combustion or reducing an EGR quantity in the compression ignition type combustion just after switching the combustion, on the basis of the estimated exhaust temperature, just before switching the combustion, and can prevent the deterioration in the exhaust gas and an increase in the vibration/the noise, when switching the combustion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
