PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling gas transportation having both the advantage of full-line concept transportation and the advantage of conventional concept transportation and a device used therefor. SOLUTION: When a level meter LV2 for detecting the presence or absence of a powder and granular material in a transporter 6 detects that the powder and granular material is absent, and a level meter LV1 for measuring the amount of the powder and granular material in a storage tank 2 detects the predetermined amount of powder and granular material, the supply of compressed air is stopped, the powder and granular material stored in the storage tank 2 is fed into the transporter 6 while the powder and granular material remains in a transport pipe 5. After a predetermined amount of the powder and granular material is accumulated in the transporter 6, the internal pressure of the transporter 6 is increased to a specified one.
