<p>The present invention relates to methods for preparing a derivative of a hyaluronic acid, comprising: (a) mixing a liquid solution comprising the hyaluronic acid and a diamine, a polyamine, or a combination thereof, at a pH suitable to form an imine; (b) reducing the imine to an amine with a reductant at a pH suitable to produce the derivative of the hyaluronic acid; and (c) recovering the derivative of the hyaluronic acid. The present invention also relates to isolated derivatives of a hyaluronic acid, comprising the hyaluronic acid and a diamine, a polyamine, or a combination thereof.</p> |
