<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting apparatus which improves the mounting efficiency and the tact time. <P>SOLUTION: A substrate table 17 moves a substrate 15 back to a first mounting region 171 to carry in the next substrate 15 on a carrying way while mounting electronic components. The table 17 locates on the mounting region 171, and moves the next carried substrate 15 back to a second mounting region 172, just when the substrate 15 mounting the specified electronic components moves forward.
