PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device preventing interference between a cassette side gear and a device body side gear in attaching/detaching a paper feed cassette, simply and at low cost. SOLUTION: Since a first projection part 42 gets on a second projection part 50 from an inclined face 42a side when the paper feed cassette 10 is pulled out in an arrow B direction, the paper feed cassette 10 does not move in a horizontal direction but moves in an upper left direction immediately after the start of the pulling out. Therefore, the cassette side gear 34 also moves in the upper left direction with respect to the device body side gear 36, so that the gear 34 is smoothly separated from the device body side gear 36. On the other hand, when the paper feed cassette 10 is inserted into the device body, the first projection part 42 gets off from the second projection part 50 along the inclined face 42a immediately before the cassette side gear 34 is meshed with the device body side gear 36, and the cassette side gear 34 also moves in a lower left direction with respect to the device body side gear 36, so that the gear 34 is smoothly connected with the device body side gear 36.
