LATENT HEAT STORAGE DEVICE AND ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latent heat storage device capable of completing warm-up by giving earlier temperature rise to an engine when cold-started.

SOLUTION: The latent heat storage device 1 comprises a water jacket 7 formed between a cylinder bore wall 5 and a cylinder block outer wall 6, and a container 8 stored therein. The container 8 is filled with latent heat storage agent 9. The container 8 is separated into a chamber 8a close to the cylinder bore wall 5 and a chamber 8b far from the cylinder bore wall 5 with a punching metal 13. The chamber 8a stores a steel wool 14 in contact with a cylinder bore wall side inner wall face 8a1 of the container 8.
