PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of overshoot and rounding during a rise in output current more than in the conventional manner when switching magnitude of the output current. SOLUTION: Output current I2 in proportion to current I1 to be input to a MOS transistor 11 of a current mirror circuit 10 is output from a MOS transistor 12. Backup current I3 from a current backup circuit 60 corresponding to the magnitude of the output current I2 during a rise in the output current I2 is backed up to the current I1. The current backup circuit 60 has a MOS transistor 62 for outputting the backup current I3 and an inverting amplifier 63, and the inverting amplifier 63 controls the inclination of a waveform of a rise of on potential supplied to a gate terminal of the MOS transistor 62 during a rise in the output current I2 in accordance with the magnitude of the output current I2.
