PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color-scannable monochromatic MFP having a UI which, when color-scanned data are saved in a BOX (HDD) of the MFP having small spare capacity in the absence of a file server or equipment having the same function as the file server on the same network, automatically switches operation section display of the MFP to transmission picture display and transmits the color-scanned data to a mail address of a user, and consequently is user-friendly. SOLUTION: When the file server or the equipment having the same function as the file server is absent on the same network, the color-scannable monochromatic output MFP has a constitution mainly made up of a means for automatically switching the operation section display of the MFP to the transmission picture display and allowing the user to transmit the color scanned data when the BOX (HDD) does not have enough spare capacity to save the color scanned data.
