A vacuum switch electromagnetic drive consists of a magnetic conductor, an armature, guides, control coils, constant magnets, mechanism of manual switching off and blockage of switch switching on. Long and butt slots are made in the armature. Long slots are disposed symmetrically along armature axisand go out on one armature butt at full depth. Butt slots are made symmetrically on the opposite armature butts. An application of the invention allows enhancing of magnetic lock force at the same armature section, decrease of consumption current of control coils, enhancing of operating speed that is impotent in situation of emergency switching of the switch.
