A voltage detection device is connected to a DC circuit to which DC voltage is applied and detects DC voltage applied to the DC circuit. The voltage detection device includes: voltage conversion means for outputting a first voltage which increases as the DC voltage increases and a second voltage which decreases as the DC voltage increases; error detection means for detecting a voltage difference between the first and the second voltage according to the first voltage and the second voltage when the DC voltage is 0; and voltage calculation means for correcting the difference between the first voltage and the second voltage outputted from the voltage conversion means according to an error detected by the error detection means and calculating the DC voltage according to the corrected difference between the first voltage and the second voltage.
