PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of minimizing deterioration of riding comfort and improving steerability of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This pneumatic radial tire includes (1) a belt layer 10 composed of a plurality of belt ply 8A, 8B wherein a plurality of steel codes (not shown), crossing with a tire equator E embedded and (2) a tread portion 6 formed outward in the tire radial direction of the belt layer 10. The tread portion 6 includes (1) a first groove-less land row 12, which is divided into a plurality of main grooves 11A, 11B, 11C and 11D formed thereon, extending parallel to the tire equator E and (2) a pair of second land rows 15A, 15B, where a plurality of lateral grooves (sub-grooves) 13 are formed extending in such a direction as to cross the main grooves 11A, 11B, 11C and 11D.
