A method for controlling a washing machine is provided to rotate a washing tub while injecting a detergent solution and supplying steam, thereby increasing the washing effect. A method for controlling a washing operation of a washing machine includes the steps of: detecting the amount of clothes(S20); initial water supply step of supplying washing water to a set level according to the amount of clothes(S30), wherein the water level makes continuous injecting of a detergent solution possible; high concentration washing step of injecting detergent solution to the laundry articles and rotating a washing tub at a rotational speed, at which laundry articles are stuck to the inner surface of the washing tub for a first period of time, below(S40); additionally supplying the washing water(S50); and low concentration washing step of injecting the detergent solution to the laundry articles with supplying heated steam into the washing tub for a second period of time, and rotating the washing tub at a rotational speed, at which the laundry articles are stuck to the inner surface of the washing tub and are separated from the inner surface of the washing tub, below(S60). |
