A desk lamp is provided to enhance user convenience by enabling a user to connect various audio devices to the desk lamp by embedding a speaker and an amplifier in the desk lamp. A desk lamp includes a base unit(14), a pole unit(16), and a lampshade(20). Various audio sources(26) are connected to the desk lamp. An on/off switch(32) for an amplifier circuit is arranged on the pole unit. A volume circuit(34) and a connection jack port(36) are arranged on an amplifier circuit board, which is embedded inside an inner space of the pole unit. Speaker elements(30,30') are electrically connected to the amplifier circuit board.
