A method of connection with a bucklingly deformable synthetic resin member comprising a cylindrical body having a flange part at its end part to be connected and a lagging tube part fitted onto the flange part, comprising th e steps of fitting the lagging tube part of the synthetic resin member onto th e flange part of the cylindrical body, bucklingly deforming the tip of the lagging tube part to the cylindrical body side within the range where stress rupture does not occur, and locking the flange part by the tip of the bucklingly deformed lagging tube part; the synthetic resin member being lock ed by providing the base part of the lagging tube part with a contact part in contact with the flange part of the cylindrical body, bucklingly deforming t he tip of the lagging tube part to the cylindrical body side with the flange pa rt in contact with the contact part, and holding the flange part between the ti p of the lagging tube part and the contact part; the buckling deformation bein g performed by pressing a rotatably pivoted roller, while rotating, against th e tip of the lagging tube part with a specified pressing force continuously fo r a specified time; the synthetic resin member being made of a synthetic resin , the bucklingly deformed portion thereof being whitened. |
