PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a distance between paper and paper, by feeding the paper without taking into consideration the timing, when feeding the next paper, after detecting the rear end of preceding paper, when feeding continuous paper. SOLUTION: A distance is shortened by one paper rear end detecting sensor, while securing the distance between the rear end of the preceding paper and the tip of the next paper, by setting a distance smaller than an optional distance up to stopping the next paper while reducing a speed of the paper after detecting the tip, by arranging a difference in the optional distance between a rear end detecting position of the preceding paper and a tip detecting position of the next paper by a sensor lever shape and the positional relationship between a sensor lever fulcrum and the sensor.
