<p>A system has pre-catalytic and primary catalytic converters (7, 9) arranged close to and distant from an internal combustion engine, respectively. An actuator guides exhaust gases through the converters. A de-NOx catalytic converter (8) is provided downstream of the converters. The actuator is designed so that the gases with low and high temperatures are guided through the converters, which are close to and distant from the engine, respectively.</p> |
