PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide on-vehicle communication equipment and an inter-vehicle communication system capable of preventing occurrence of crosstalk between radio signals in the case of executing inter-vehicle communication. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle communication equipment includes: a vehicle information acquisition means 11 for acquiring vehicle information; an area discrimination means 12 for discriminating an area where its own vehicle exists; a transmission order transmission reception means 13 for transmitting/receiving data with number of slots for determining the order of transmitting the data of the vehicle information; a vehicle information transmission reception means 14 for transmitting/receiving the data of the vehicle information on the basis of the number of the slots; and a frequency setting means 15 for setting a communication frequency of the transmission order transmission reception means 13 and the vehicle information transmission reception means 14, and the transmission order transmission reception means 13 includes: a representative vehicle discrimination section 13a for discriminating whether or not its own vehicle is a representative vehicle in the area; a slot number transmission reception section 13b for transmitting/receiving the data of the number of slots; and a slot number management section 16 for managing the slot number.
