<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document data storage system that saves user's troubles for improving convenience when the user who knows rules for utilization utilizes the system, and maintains safety to a fraudulent use from the outside in the same way as a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: When data are input to a digital composite machine having a filing function from an external I/O machine, it is determined whether storage or access is requested, or whether processing is requested. If the storage of data is requested, the data are stored at a document filing area in a hard disk device, and information in equipment input data is registered in a management table 44a as management information. If the access to the stored data is requested, it is determined whether the input data to be accessed by the equipment coincide with the input data registered by the equipment, by referring to the management information on the management table 44a.
