METHOD OF MANUFACTURING RACE OF THRUST ROLLER BEARING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a race of a thrust roller bearing in which deformation and dents are not produced in a surface finishing step. SOLUTION: Blasting treatment blasting a jetting material at a high pressure is performed as a surface finishing to remove the burrs produced by a punching press and the oxidized scales produced by heat treatments. The race 24 is mounted on a rotary pedestal 23 so that the raceway surface 25 of the race 24 faces upward. Then, the rotary pedestal 23 is rotated around a rotating axis 26 in the direction of the arrow X. The jetting material jetted from a nozzle 22 is impacted on the raceway surface 25 of the raceway 24 to remove the oxidized scales and burrs for surface finishing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
