<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for immediately killing squid by cutting or destroying nerve of squid which has cranial nerve system completely different from that of fish, with respect to retention of freshness of squid after catching, that is to say, a technique capable of retaining freshness through cutting or destroying nerve of a specific part and suppressing bioenergy loss by muscular motion after catching. <P>SOLUTION: The immediately killed squid has cut or broken nerve parts. The method for immediately killing squid by cutting nerve comprises setting parts of nerve to be cut or broken to pallial ganglion or pallial nerve between pallial ganglion and stellate ganglion, or arm ganglion and/or leg ganglion so as to suppress muscular motion of squid and prevent useless bioenergy loss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
