The engine has an exhaust gas after treatment device provided with a selective catalytic reduction-catalyzer in an exhaust gas system. The device is supplied with ammonia as a reducing agent for purpose of nitrogen oxide reduction, where ammonia is produced from urea-water-solution or solid urea in an ammonia reactor (11). The reactor is arranged outside at a turbine housing (5) of an exhaust-gas turbocharger (1), whose heat radiation is used for ammonia production.
