PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement instrument capable of simply changing a spindle. SOLUTION: The measurement instrument comprises a spindle 300 movable axially and a phase signal transmission means 400 for transmitting different signal to different rotation angle of the spindle 300 corresponding to the rotation of the spindle 300. The spindle 300 is provided with an engaging groove 320 in the axial direction. The phase signal transmission means comprises the rotor rotating integrally with the spindle 300, the stator for transmitting the phase signal corresponding to the rotational angle of the rotor provided with the state opposite to the rotor, an engaging pin 421 for engaging with an engaging groove 320 provided with a rotor bush 423, and an engaging pin support means 450 for retaining an engaging pin 421 to the rotor.
