PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identifying body for a battery capable of identifying whether a battery and a battery pack are genuine articles or counterfeits in the battery incorporating the battery pack with high capacity density such as a lithium ion battery, and to provide the battery and the battery pack provided with the identifying body for the battery. SOLUTION: This identifying body 2 for the battery has an identifying part 6 on a surface of a metal conductive connection body 4 for conductive connection of the battery 3. The identifying part 6 is covered with a material which is melted or decomposed at a temperature lower than the temperature at which the metal conductive connection body melts.
