PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door checker for an automobile capable of preventing rainwater from intruding into a storage chamber in a case for storing a springing member by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This door checker for the automobile is composed of the case 1 fixed to a door D, a check plate 6 whose terminal is supported on a body B and which passes through the case 1 movably, a detent member 16 fitted and held in the case 1 and cooperating with a detent face 10 of the check plate 6, and the springing member 17 made of an elastic material and provided by contracting in the storage chamber 18 formed between an outer end face 18a of the detent member 16 and an inner end face 18b of the case 1. The springing member 17 is filled into the storage chamber 18 substantially closely to prevent rainwater from intruding into the storage chamber 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
