<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb solid electrolyte fuel cell with reduced resistivity polarization and activation polarization. <P>SOLUTION: The solid electrolyte fuel cell incorporates the composite structure electrode formed by combined use of a fuel electrode material and air electrode material, each having the catalytic functionality with a collector composed of the material having no catalytic functionality, but superior electrical conductivity. In addition, the electrode plate material excellent in the electrical conductivity is joined/integrated into both ends of the honeycomb, and the collector and the electrode plate are electrically connected with each other, thereby significantly reducing the resistivity polarization and activation polarization of the catalyst, and dramatically improving the output per unit area of the honeycomb solid electrolyte fuel cell. Furthermore, multiple unit-cells of the same shapes having all the functions required for the solid electrolyte fuel cell are manufactured in advance to make a unit-cell group (module), wherein multiple unit-cells are laminated and serially connected with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
