A motor-drive rice cake maker designed to heat soaked rice with steam, strike the heated rice with a rice-cake mallet and provide good supply of steam and discharge of condensed water with improved steam inlet structure is provided. The rice cake maker promotes even heating of soaked rice, improves kneading and thus produces good quality rice cake. The motor-drive rice cake maker(1) makes rice cake by supplying steam to an inner cauldron(20) in an inner cauldron receiving part(11) of the body(10) and striking the steamed rice with a rotary rice-cake mallet(30), wherein a heating plate(40), the rotary rice-cake mallet, a distilled inlet pipe and a condensed water outlet are arranged in the inner cauldron. A plurality of steam inlet ports(22) are also arranged on the upper edge of the inner cauldron to cause steam produced by the heating plate to ascend along the surface of the inner cauldron and then enter inside the inner cauldron through the stream inlet ports. The distilled inlet pipe is connected to a distilled water tank and has a unidirectional check valve to prevent back flow of distilled water. |
