<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce toner consumption, by reducing the number of reference color patches constituting the color shift amount detection pattern for correcting the color shifts and non-reference color patches, and to shorten the detection time. <P>SOLUTION: This device is constituted of the color shifted amount detection pattern, by using the reference color patch 101 specifying the reference color image forming position and the non-reference color patch 102, specifying the image forming position in the colors different from the reference color; makes the length of those main scanning direction (the width of the face direction of intermediate transfer belt) n to be smaller than the diameter of the beam spot P of the color shift amount detector; arranges the reference color patch 102, making its length direction match the vertical scanning (moving direction of the intermediate transfer belt) m; arranges the reference color patch 101, inclined to the vertical scanning direction m so as to cross the non-reference color patch 102; and makes the shifted amount, between the reference color patch 101 and the non-reference color patch 102 in the main scanning direction n continuously, change in the vertical scanning direction m. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
