A filter of a vacuum cleaner is provided to pass only fine matters by surrounding an inflow inducing member with a cover filter member and primarily filtering large foreign matters floating in a collecting box through the cover filter member, to prevent a vacuum motor from being loaded caused by blocking an inflow hole of the inflow inducing member with large or light foreign matters like animal hairs and fluffs, to maintain inertia of centrifugal force by not disturbing vortex through the cover filter member, and to prevent foreign matters from being accumulated due to continuous contact with others rotated by the vortex. A filter of a vacuum cleaner comprises: a cover filter member(60) surrounding an inflow inducing member(50) to block an inflow hole(52) with various foreign matters; a cylindrical collecting box(20) installed with an inflow pipe(22) inclined downward; an installing member(30) formed with a vacuum motor(M) to forcibly discharge air in the collecting box, combined with the upper side of the collecting box, formed with a through-hole(32) on the bottom, and combined with a cover member at the upper side; a cylindrical filter member(40) installed on the periphery of the lower surface of the through-hole; and the cylindrical inflow inducing member formed with plural inflow holes vertically only on one side and combined with the lower surface of the installing member to surround the filter member at a predetermined distance.
