PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate collection of prerequisite investigation information in installation of software. SOLUTION: This information collection support system for prerequisite investigation investigating whether a computer satisfies prerequisites for the software to be installed or not is provided with a prerequisite DB 13 storing prerequisites required by the software to be installed and a prerequisite check part 112. Prerequisites of a plurality of servers 30 as targets of installation of the software are gathered, and the gathered whole conditions are compared with the prerequisites stored in the prerequisite DB 13, and the prerequisite check part 112 determines whether the respective servers satisfy the prerequisites required by the software or not. A guidance DB 14 storing an investigation method of the prerequisites and a prerequisite changing method is arranged, and when it is determined that the prerequisites are not satisfied, the investigation method and the change method are called out from the guidance DB 14 to be notified to an operator.
