<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect an installation state of an ETC dedicated lane at the entrance/exit of a toll road on a path search in a system having a function of the path search. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit determines as to whether or not an ETC system is available for the own car, based on a signal from an ETC in-car unit (S1). If the ETC system is available, information of existence of the ETC dedicated lane is added to the path search. In the above operation, a passage cost when the own car passes through each entrance/exit, is previously given with respect to each entrance/exit tollgate of the toll road, and contained in road data. A cost calculation for the path search is carried out by using (adding) the passage cost, thereby executing the path search in consideration of the existence of the ETC dedicated lane (S2-S4). The passage cost is given (set) such that a value of the entrance/exit having the ETC dedicated lane is smaller than that of the entrance/exit having no ETC dedicated lane.
