An intake structure for a garbage disposer, which improves durability of a product and disposal efficiency by setting an intake part in such a direction that the intake part is directed to a lower side of the horizontal line based on a horizontal line, thereby minimizing inflow of alien substances through the intake part, and improves overall disposal efficiency of the garbage disposer and reliability of product, is provided. In a garbage disposer comprising: a body(10) in which a space part(11) is formed below partition plate(19), and which has an intake part(17) and an exhaust part(18); a blowing fan(30) on which a suction port(31) is formed, and which sucks air into the space part and exhausts treated air from the space part through a communication hole(16); a heater part(40) installed on a bottom portion of an exhaust port(32) formed on the blowing fan; and a control part formed on the front of the body to control operation of the blowing fan, an intake structure for the garbage disposer comprises an intake part(17) installed on an upper portion of the rear side of the space part and directed downward. The intake part is directed in a horizontal direction. The intake structure for a garbage disposer further comprises a solenoid valve(60) installed on a body of the intake part to control selective opening and closing of the intake part.
