PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher which hardly causes unevenness in washing because sprayed water properly spreads in a washing tub. SOLUTION: This dishwasher comprises: the washing tub; a washing basket which is placed inside the washing tub and where an object to be washed, including dishes, is to placed; a rotary nozzle body which emits a jet of washing water to the object to be washed; and a heater which is provided on the inner-bottom side of the washing tub so as to heat the washing water and dry the object to be washed. In the dishwasher, a spraying means for emitting a jet of spray into the washing tub is provided on the side of one side surface of the washing tub, and a large-dish placing section for being provided in the washing basket is arranged in such a manner as to be positioned on the other side of the spraying means.
