A foreign matter removing apparatus of a conveyor return belt is provided to prevent pollution of surrounding equipments and damage of the conveyor return belt by continuously striking a surface of the conveyor return belt with a striking bar installed in a rotating roll turned by rotational force of a belt conveyor. A foreign matter removing apparatus of a conveyor return belt(1a) includes a support plate(20) fixed by a support bar installed at both sides of a conveyor belt, bent up and provided with an insertion hole, and a rotating roll(30) rotated and installed to a central shaft(32) fitted to the support plate and provided with plural striking bars(31) sequentially striking a lower part of the conveyor return belt. An adjusting screw(40) is fitted to a lower part of the support plate to adjust the position of the central shaft, and a handle(41) is installed in a lower part of the adjusting screw. A spring(42) is elastically mounted between the support plate and the handle.
