An arrangement and a method for compensating a deviation of inverter input voltage are provided to prevent inconvenience to reset a boost voltage by automatically correcting output voltage ratio according to varied inverter input voltage. In an arrangement for compensating a deviation of an inverter input voltage, an input voltage detection unit(1) detects an inverter input voltage. A reference voltage generation unit(11) computes an inverter reference voltage from electromotor rating voltage and outputs the computed result. A correction computing unit(12) computes a corrected value of output voltage ratio from the inverter input voltage and the inverter reference voltage and outputs the computed result. A compensation computing unit(13) outputs the corrected inverter output voltage ratio by computing the corrected value with the inverter output voltage ratio computed in advance.
