PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an error rate when increasing linear density. SOLUTION: An adaptive equalization processing section 13 executes adaptive equalization processing to inputted quantization data by using a tertiary Volterra filter. In the adaptive equalization processing section 13, actually, three adaptive equalization processing sections 13-1, 13-2, and 13-3, which perform one-, two-, and three-dimensional terms of the tertiary Volterra filter, respectively, are connected in parallel. The adaptive equalization processing sections 13-1 to 13-3 update the coefficient of each dimension based on error information inputted from an error information processing section 17 as needed.
