PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability in operation with reduction of size and weight, in a computerized throttle device. SOLUTION: This throttle device has a mechanism for keeping an opening of a throttle valve at a default opening larger than a full-close position when the power is not distributed to a motor 5 driving the throttle valve 2 of a combustion engine. An engagement element 8 for setting the default opening is fitted to one end of a throttle valve shaft 3 relatively rotatably to the throttle valve shaft 3. A return spring 7 of the throttle valve and a default spring 8 energizing the throttle valve to a default opening side are mounted in opposition to each other through the engagement element 6. Both faces of the engagement elements 6 act as spring receivers of the springs 7, 8 for locking the springs at their one end. Both springs have coil diameters different from each other, and are mounted in a state of axially compressed, and compression stress F of the spring of larger coil diameter is larger than compression stress f of the spring of smaller coil diameter.
