<p>A fuel injection valve, for an IC engine, has the fuel outlet jets (11) controlled by a needle (4) whose upper end is connected to a first control piston (12) separated from a second control piston (17) by a flow restriction and with a first pressure chamber (18) linked to the rail pressure by a second flow restriction. A third flow restriction (26) controls the second pressure chamber (19) above the second piston and connects to a control valve (27). The valve action provides a rapid initial opening followed by a progressive further opening.</p> |
